Privacy
Timesheet is a personal tool run by one person. It stores what you give it, and shows it back to you. Nothing is sold, shared, traded, or used for advertising or analytics, and there are no third-party trackers on this site.
What is stored
- Your account — your email address and a password hash (never the password itself). If you sign in with Google, the Google account identifier and the email address Google reports.
- Your time data — days, shifts and punch times, planned overtime, holidays, your hourly wage per pay period, and display preferences.
- Take-home calibration, if you use it — the tax lines from one real paycheck, which the estimate is tuned against. This field is encrypted before it is written to the database and is never logged.
- Security records — sessions, each with the IP address and browser user-agent that created it, and a log of sign-in attempts used for rate limiting.
Mail is sent only to verify your address and to reset your password. There is no newsletter and no marketing mail. Verification and reset messages are delivered through Resend, which handles your address for that purpose alone.
Your data is yours
Customize → Data exports everything the service holds about you as a single JSON file, whose format is documented so it stays usable elsewhere. The same panel deletes your account.
What deletion actually does
Deleting your account signs out every session immediately, discards your password hash at once, and frees your email address for re-registration straight away. Your account and its data stop being reachable: nothing is served to you, to anyone else, or to a new account registered on the same address.
The underlying rows are retained rather than erased. This service keeps data indefinitely by deliberate choice — there is no automatic deletion job, and none of the data you enter is removed on a timer. The same applies to an account that is never confirmed: it stops being usable, but it is not erased.
If you want your data actually erased rather than retired, ask the operator (see below) and it will be removed by hand.
Backups
The database is backed up daily to off-site storage so that a server failure does not lose your data. A backup taken before you closed your account still contains it. Backups are restored only to recover from a failure, never browsed.
